The new electric car leader?

A minor name change for the second generation electric Niro, sees the Kia e-Niro become the Kia Niro EV.

Let CarGurus help you find your next car:

Even after several years on sale – and a vast number of much newer rivals to compete with – the first-generation Kia e-Niro was the UK’s second best-selling electric car in the first half of 2022.

The second-generation car is known as the Niro EV, and Kia will be hoping that, despite the new name, it proves just as popular with buyers as its predecessor.

And it’s off to a good start. Prices start at around £36,000, and for that, you get a car with a 204 horsepower motor that’s theoretically capable of driving 285 miles on a full charge.

In this CarGurus UK video review, Rebecca Jackson takes a detailed look at this brand new model, evaluating its quality, technology, practicality what it’s like to drive and what kind of value for money it gives you.
